1/23/2018 Anthony Davis, NO, F-C
Anthony Davis scored 34 points Monday, going 14 of 23 from the field, as the New Orleans Pelicans topped the Chicago Bulls 132-128 in double overtime. Davis grabbed nine rebounds and had five assists, accumulating a plus-minus of +2 in his 42:46 of playing time before fouling out. He added one block and two steals.

Analysis: DeMarcus Cousins' dazzling 40-24-10 triple-double somewhat overshadowed another monster performance from Davis, who showed that his eight-point, 2-of-8 shooting effort at Atlanta five days ago was a complete aberration. Since missing one game with a sore ankle on Jan. 10, the All-Star starter is averaging a hefty 32 points on 55 percent shooting along with 11.7 rebounds and two blocks.
1/23/2018 Jrue Holiday, NO, G
Jrue Holiday scored 12 points Monday, going 5 of 17 from the field, as the New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Chicago Bulls 132-128 in double overtime. Holiday grabbed four rebounds and dished out six assists, accumulating a plus-minus of +5 in his 43:06 of playing time. He tacked on two steals. Holiday went 2 of 6 from behind the arc.

Analysis: Averaging 25.6 points on 59.3 percent shooting over his previous five games, Holiday finally met someone who could slow him down - his brother, Bulls guard Justin. Jrue still made his presence felt in other categories, though. He's averaging nearly six assists over his past seven games, 2.2 steals in his last nine and has posted four or more rebounds in 10 straight outings.
1/23/2018 Darius Miller, NO, G-F
Darius Miller scored 10 points Monday on 3-of-10 shooting as the New Orleans Pelicans topped the Chicago Bulls 132-128 in double overtime. Miller grabbed eight rebounds and had two assists, tallying a plus-minus of +14 in his 40:35 on the floor. He tacked on one steal. Miller went 3 of 9 from behind the arc.

Analysis: Miller has given the Pelicans a recent lift off the bench, averaging 13 points over a three-game streak of double-figure scoring outings and compiling 14 rebounds in his last two contests. Though hardly a sure thing in the fantasy world, the perimeter specialist can provide a boot in the 3-point department when he's going well.

1/23/2018 Lauri Markkanen, Chi, PF
Lauri Markkanen scored 14 points Monday, going 5 of 12 from the field, as the Chicago Bulls fell to the New Orleans Pelicans 132-128 in double overtime. Markkanen grabbed 17 rebounds and dished out two assists, tallying a plus-minus of -4 in his 39:31 of playing time. He added two blocks and one steal.

Analysis: The positive is the rebounds are a career high for the rookie, giving him an average of 8.6 boards over his last 12 games. On the down side, Markkanen is 0 for 8 from 3-point range in his last two outings and is in a mild scoring slump. Prior to his current three-game funk, he knocked down a sizzling 15 of 28 shots from beyond the arc while averaging 23 points over his previous three games, so he's certainly worth sticking with.
1/23/2018 Zach LaVine, Chi, G
Zach LaVine scored 19 points Monday on 7-of-15 shooting as the Chicago Bulls lost to the New Orleans Pelicans 132-128 in double overtime. LaVine pulled down five rebounds and dished out two assists, tallying a plus-minus of -10 in his 24:15 of playing time. LaVine went 1 of 3 from 3-point range.

Analysis: LaVine saw a slight minutes bump in his fifth game back from a torn ACL and made clear progress after going a woeful 4 for 21 from the field over his previous two contests. The former slam dunk champion is still getting back in the swing after missing so much time, but he appears to be getting closer to his pre-injury form.
1/23/2018 Jerian Grant, Chi, G
Jerian Grant scored 22 points Monday on 6-of-7 shooting as the Chicago Bulls fell to the New Orleans Pelicans 132-128 in double overtime. Grant grabbed five rebounds and dished out a career-high 13 assists, accumulating a plus-minus of +2 in his 47:18 on the floor. He added one block and two steals. Grant went 2 of 2 from behind the arc.

Analysis: Drawing a second consecutive start, Grant put forth a performance few could have seen coming considering he totaled only 30 points while shooting an awful 24.4 percent from the field over his previous eight games. With Kris Dunn still on the mend from a concussion, expect Grant to once again be with the first unit for Wednesday's visit to Philadelphia.
1/23/2018 Robin Lopez, Chi, C
Robin Lopez scored 22 points Monday, going 10 of 16 from the field, as the Chicago Bulls lost to the New Orleans Pelicans 132-128 in double overtime. Lopez grabbed four rebounds and had three assists, tallying a plus-minus of -2 in his 39:16 of playing time. He added one block.

Analysis: Lopez has never been known as a go-to scorer, but he put up 20 points Saturday in Atlanta and is averaging a very solid 16.7 over his last six games. The veteran center is shooting a terrific 67.1 percent from the floor during that hot stretch, though he still isn't doing a whole lot from a rebounding or shot-blocking standpoint.
1/23/2018 Justin Holiday, Chi, G-F
Justin Holiday scored 15 points Monday, going 5 of 13 from the field, as the Chicago Bulls fell to the New Orleans Pelicans 132-128 in double overtime. Holiday pulled down seven rebounds and had three assists, tallying a plus-minus of -7 in his 41:36 of playing time. Holiday went 1 of 8 from behind the arc.

Analysis: Holiday played tough defense on his brother Jrue but has had a tough time on the offensive end of late. Since going 7 of 11 from 3-point range in a 25-point outburst against Miami a week ago, the Chicago guard has shot 30.3 percent from the field while averaging 12 points over his last three games.
1/23/2018 Will Barton, Den, G-F
Will Barton scored seven points Monday, going 0 of 7 from the field, as the Denver Nuggets defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 104-101. Barton grabbed eight rebounds and dished out two assists, accumulating a plus-minus of +11 in his 34:05 of playing time. He tacked on one steal. Barton struggled from behind the arc, coming up empty on all five of his attempts.

Analysis: Barton had been performing well as a starter lately, averaging 18.7 points on 50 percent shooting along with 5.3 rebounds and five assists over the last three games he's opened. Chalk this one up to an off night, and it would be surprising if Mike Malone again tinkers with the lineup for Thursday's matchup with the Knicks after his team came up with an important win.
1/23/2018 Gary Harris, Den, G-F
Gary Harris scored 13 points Monday, going 4 of 14 from the field, as the Denver Nuggets defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 104-101. Harris grabbed two rebounds and dished out three assists, tallying a plus-minus of +7 in his 37:03 on the floor. Harris went 2 of 7 from behind the arc.

Analysis: Harris couldn't keep up the pace after he averaged 20.8 points on 51.6 percent shooting over his previous six games, but the zero in the steal column may be more surprising. The defensive standout had racked up 11 thefts over his last three games and had two or more in eight of his past 11.
1/23/2018 Nikola Jokic, Den, F-C
Nikola Jokic scored 16 points Monday on 5-of-17 shooting as the Denver Nuggets topped the Portland Trail Blazers 104-101. Jokic pulled down 12 rebounds and had five assists, tallying a plus-minus of +9 in his 32:40 on the floor. He added one block and one steal. Jokic went 2 of 5 from behind the arc.

Analysis: Jokic didn't shoot it particularly well but still put up numbers comparable to the 14 points, 17 rebounds and five assists he produced Friday against the Suns. The stat-stuffing center has been a beast on the glass lately, averaging 13.8 boards over his last four games.
